Off topic, but who cares?
Just read a very intriguing vampire story. 'Withered Gold, the Night, the Day' by James Alan Gardner. Saw it in his collection of short stories 'Gravity Wells'.
Thought you might be interested. There aren't that many good vampire stories about, and I was reminded of yours when I read Gardner's.
Not because they are similar, but because of the rarity.
